Each race shows a rating (such as "Toss-up," "Lean," "Likely," or "Safe") describing how competitive it appears, not a statement of fact and not a guarantee of any outcome. Ratings are derived from published nonpartisan race ratings (such as the Cook Political Report) and available public polling. They are inherently uncertain, reflect opinion and analysis, and will change over time. They should not be relied upon for any decision beyond general orientation.
We work to keep information accurate and verify candidate and race data against public sources. However, election information changes rapidly, sources can conflict or contain errors, and we cannot guarantee that any information is complete, current, or error-free.

If you use the optional address lookup, the address you enter is sent by your browser directly to the official U.S. Census Bureau geocoder; this site never receives or stores it. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or your use of this site are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If it cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, you and Ballot Awareness agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site will be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies. The arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its applicable consumer rules, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. This agreement to arbitrate is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us at the address above within 30 days of first using the site, stating that you opt out; doing so will not affect any other part of these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Ballot Awareness agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. You and Ballot Awareness also waive any right to a jury trial. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of a class or representative proceeding. If this class-action or jury-trial waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) shall be severed and may proceed in court.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
